Galatasaray, who continues their search for a striker to replace Mauro Icardi, have added Alexander Sörloth to their agenda. The Norwegian striker, whom the yellow-reds have made initial contact with, has given a positive response to Galatasaray. Atletico Madrid, however, are demanding 40 million euros for the star player.
Galatasaray, who have had a quiet transfer period so far, accelerated their efforts after drawing 2-2 with Çorum FK in the opening week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.
One of the areas the red-yellow management plans to reinforce is the striker position. Galatasaray, continuing their search for a goalscorer to replace Mauro Icardi, have most recently added Alexander Sörloth, who plays for Atletico Madrid, to their agenda.
POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM SÖRLOTH TO GALATASARAY
According to Sözcü's report, the Galatasaray management made initial contact with Sörloth, who wants to leave Atletico Madrid. It was stated that the Norwegian striker gave a positive response to the offer from the red-yellows. It is planned to bring the experienced centre-forward, whose transfer has also been approved by President Dursun Özbek, to Istanbul next week.
ATLETICO MADRID WANTS 40 MILLION EURO
The most significant obstacle facing Galatasaray, who received a positive response from Sörloth, is the transfer fee. While it is reported that Atletico Madrid is demanding 40 million euros for the Norwegian star, it has been stated that the red-yellow management is continuing negotiations with the Spanish club.
PLAN B IS PATRIK SCHICK
Galatasaray has also determined an alternative in case the Sörloth transfer does not materialize. It was stated that the red-yellows will take action for Patrik Schick, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, if they cannot reach a conclusion in the transfer of the Norwegian striker.
