Samsunspor, one of the teams in the Süper Lig, announced that their coach Markus Gisdol will not continue in his position in the new season. In a statement from the Black Sea team, it was stated that discussions have been held several times between our Club Management and our Technical Director Mr. Markus Gisdol, with whom we have walked together in the 2023/24 Football Season and whose contract will expire at the end of the season, and our Club has expressed its desire to work with him in the new season on every occasion. Despite presenting our final offer for him to stay in the last meeting, Mr. Markus Gisdol did not change his decision and, in short, expressed that he does not want to continue with us in the new season despite all the efforts to convince him. Mr. Gisdol stated that he is very happy with the support of our Club, our City, and our Fans, and that he wants to be remembered here with success and does not want to experience the bad and unsuccessful experiences he had in the past again at Samsunspor, and he made the decision to leave. He repeatedly stated that if he ever considers working in Turkey, this club will be no other than Samsunspor. We would like to thank Mr. Markus Gisdol and his team, who have shown the success of keeping Samsunspor in the Süper Lig after a long time and have made many contributions to our Club's success, on behalf of the entire Samsunspor Community, Fans, Management, and Employees, and wish them success in their future careers. He will share the necessary detailed explanations about this through our Club's official channels today or tomorrow."
