An incident in a school cafeteria in India has revealed a major negligence. In the school in the state of Bihar, 36 students who ate lunch were taken to the hospital shortly after with complaints of dizziness and vomiting. The students' illness was marked by allegations that detergent powder may have been used instead of salt while preparing the food.

THEY FELL ILL AFTER LUNCH

The incident occurred at Parasi Middle School in the Nalanda district of Bihar. Some of the students who ate lunch on Tuesday afternoon began to feel unwell within a short time.

As students showed symptoms of dizziness and vomiting, the school administration requested help from health teams. As complaints increased, 36 female students were taken to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital for treatment.

DETERGENT ALLEGEDLY MISTAKEN FOR SALT

Following the incident, the food preparation process in the school kitchen came under scrutiny. Initial examinations indicated that the containers holding salt and detergent powder in the kitchen were close to each other.

Local sources claimed that the cook, due to absent-mindedness, mistook the detergent powder for salt and added it to the rice. After the students fell ill, the distribution of the food was stopped, and the kitchen materials were also taken for examination.

STUDENTS' CONDITION STABLE

Civil Health Officer Dr. Jay Prakash Singh, who made a statement about the health condition of the students taken under treatment at the hospital, reported that the students' conditions were stable and there was no danger to their lives.

MINISTER VISITED THE HOSPITAL

After the incident became known, Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar also went to the hospital and received information from officials about the students' condition.

Officials announced that a comprehensive investigation had been launched regarding the preparation and distribution process of the meals at the school to shed light on all aspects of the incident.
