The new statements given in the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have brought striking new allegations about the father-son Enginyurt duo to the agenda. While Alptürk Enginyurt's entertainment venue in Ankara and his RED GYM connections are under scrutiny despite his lack of economic power, the 18.9 million lira money flow between the father and son has also been reflected in MASAK records.
New statements obtained in the investigation conducted by the Anti-Money Laundering Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continue to bring striking allegations to the agenda regarding the commercial and financial network surrounding New Party Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt and his son Alptürk Enginyurt.
“ALPTÜRK USED TO DEPEND ON HIS FATHER”
According to a statement whose name was not disclosed by judicial authorities, Alptürk Enginyurt has no economic power. It is stated that Alptürk has no significant income related to the numerous commercial activities reflected in MASAK reports.
A witness speaking about Alptürk Enginyurt said, “He is someone who makes a living with the help of his father Cemal Enginyurt,” reporting that Alptürk has no notable individual commercial activity.
ENGİNYURT FAMILY RUNS AN ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
According to the witness statement, Alptürk Enginyurt runs an entertainment venue named “ÖKÜZ” on the upper floor of Optimum Mall in Ankara's Eryaman district, together with Muhammed Kürşat Şahin.
However, the same statement notes that Alptürk Enginyurt does not have the economic power to purchase or operate such a business.
POLICE RAIDED THE NIGHTCLUB, ALPTEKİN CALLED HIS FATHER
The account regarding the entertainment venue named “ÖKÜZ” is not limited to this. According to the witness statement, a police raid was carried out on this entertainment venue, and during the raid Alptürk Enginyurt called his father Cemal Enginyurt.
Upon this, Cemal Enginyurt went to the scene “in a panicked manner.” Even more striking, the witness described in detail that Cemal Enginyurt spoke with the law enforcement officers who came for the raid.
“ALPTEKİN DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY RED GYM”
Another business at the center of the investigation is RED GYM, operating in Ankara. In the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is alleged that through RED GYM, protein powder, performance-enhancing products, and various banned substances were sold outside the registration and monitoring systems of public institutions; Alptürk Enginyurt is alleged to have played a role in the sales and distribution organization.
The witness, stating that Alptürk Enginyurt has no financial power, said, “Alptürk Enginyurt definitely does not have the income to buy this gym.” According to the witness, his father Cemal Enginyurt also did not have the money to finance an investment of this scale.
18.9 MILLION LIRA TRAFFIC BETWEEN FATHER AND SON AT MASAK
Erge's assessment that “they did not have the economic means to buy these businesses” makes the MASAK findings in the investigation even more striking.
According to MASAK data reflected to the public regarding the investigation, the total money inflow and outflow in Alptürk Enginyurt's accounts was approximately 15 million lira in the 2021-2024 period, while reaching approximately 25 million lira in 2025 alone.
It was reported that Alptürk Enginyurt's highest-value money transfer was with his father Cemal Enginyurt, amounting to 18 million 966 thousand lira. Transfers of 2 million 545 thousand lira with Astürk Akaryakıt and 2 million 21 thousand lira with Muhammed Kürşat Şahin were also recorded.
“WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM?” ANSWER: “KİRVE”
If it is said that the incomes of Alptürk and Cemal Enginyurt are not at a level to purchase and manage the mentioned companies, where was the financial resource obtained?
According to the witness statement, it is stated that Recep Ali Keydal, whom Cemal Enginyurt describes as his “kirve” (ritual kinsman), may have provided financial support. Keydal has good financial standing and a very close relationship with Cemal Enginyurt. At this exact point, the issue of the allocated vehicle comes to the agenda.
PARLIAMENTARY ALLOCATION ON THE KİRVE'S VEHICLE
One of the most striking allegations in the witness statement is found here. The witness reports that the allocated/protected vehicle usage provided to Cemal Enginyurt within the scope of his parliamentary position was used by Recep Ali Keydal.
According to Erge, another person who was given the use of an allocated vehicle is Cemal Enginyurt's advisor named “Cem.” In other words, according to the witness statement, individuals in the deputy's close circle, other than the deputy himself, benefit from the vehicle/protection opportunity granted to the deputy due to his duty.
HE HAD DEFENDED FLASHING LIGHTS LIKE THIS YEARS AGO
What makes this allegation even more striking is that Cemal Enginyurt had passionately defended granting deputies vehicles with flashing lights and right-of-way privileges in the past.
In 2019, while the right to use flashing lights for deputies was being debated, Enginyurt opposed criticisms by saying, “In Turkey, mafia bosses have cars with flashing lights.” He also said, “We use flashing lights to open up traffic when needed” in Istanbul.
Enginyurt, who defended the right to use flashing lights years ago with these words, is now mentioned in the statement of his own close working associate with the allegation that he gave the allocation/protection opportunity provided due to his parliamentary position to people in his close circle.
ALPTÜRK ENGİNYURT RELEASED WITH JUDICIAL CONTROL
Alptürk Enginyurt, who was subject to proceedings within the scope of the investigation on charges of “disrupting public health” and “laundering property values arising from crime,” was released by the judgeship with judicial control measures in the form of signing and a ban on traveling abroad.
In a statement made after his son's release, Cemal Enginyurt made posts arguing that Alptürk Enginyurt's innocence would be proven at the end of the investigation.
