U.S. President Donald Trump, in his remarks regarding the Iranian ship sunk off the coast of Sri Lanka, stated that a general told him it was "more fun" to sink the ship rather than seize it.
During a rally held in the state of Kentucky, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that dozens of crew members lost their lives in the operation and questioned the decision to sink the ship.
Trump said, "I asked them, 'Why did we kill them? Why didn't we capture them and use them in our navy?'"
"SIR, THIS IS MORE FUN"
Trump reported that the generals stated these individuals were not suitable to serve in the U.S. Navy, saying, "'Why do we have to shoot them?' One of my generals replied, 'Sir, this is more fun.'"
