In an operation coordinated by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order was issued for 30 people, including the deputy mayor of the CHP-run Yenişehir Municipality, on charges of bribery and tampering with tenders. It was reported that a search was conducted at the municipality as part of the operation.
An operation was carried out against the Yenişehir Municipality of Mersin for bribery and corruption in tenders. It was learned that the capture operations are ongoing and there is a detention order for 30 people, including deputy mayors.
DETENTION ORDER FOR 30 PEOPLE
According to the information received, teams from the Provincial Police Department, coordinated by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, conducted an operation against the CHP-affiliated Yenişehir Municipality for corruption in tenders, bribery, and extortion. It was learned that a search was also conducted at the municipality in the operation for which a detention order was issued for approximately 30 people.
INCLUDING A DEPUTY MAYOR
It was claimed that among those who were issued a detention order within the scope of the operation are deputy mayors, branch managers, and company officials.
