Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced that attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon will continue despite Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's order to start direct negotiations with Beirut.
"THIS REGION IS OUR PRIORITY BATTLEFIELD"
Zamir stated regarding the situation of the Israeli army on the ground, "The Israeli army is in a state of war, not in a ceasefire. We will continue to fight in this region. This is our priority battlefield," he said.
IRAN MESSAGE: WE CAN RETURN TO WAR AT ANY MOMENT
Zamir, who stated that they are in a ceasefire with Iran, emphasized that the tension has not completely ended, saying, "We can return to war with Tehran at any moment."
NETANYAHU'S INSTRUCTION FOR NEGOTIATIONS
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced yesterday that he had instructed to start direct negotiations with Lebanon as soon as possible. Shortly after his negotiation announcement, Netanyahu stated in a second statement that they would conduct direct negotiations with Lebanon but there would be no ceasefire.
