A 24-year-old young man who was hospitalized in Eskişehir for intestinal hernia surgery was mistakenly scheduled for gallbladder surgery. The significant error caused by the mix-up of documents was corrected when the young man's father alerted the doctors. The young man said, "My father arrived just in time; we were almost going into the operating room. We made peace with the doctor and resolved the issue."
24-year-old Murat Çataldaş, who lives in Eskişehir, was diagnosed with an intestinal hernia during an examination due to his illness. Following this, Çatalbaş underwent surgery twice on different dates and went back to Eskişehir City Hospital for treatment due to his health issues. After the examinations conducted there, Murat Çataldaş was admitted to the hospital.
Murat Çataldaş HE LEARNED HE WOULD BE TAKEN FOR GALLBLADDER SURGERY According to Murat Çataldaş's claim, he was placed in a room in another department because there was no space available in the relevant section. Here, the doctors informed Murat Çataldaş that he would be taken for gallbladder surgery and needed to prepare. Not understanding this situation and surprised, Murat Çataldaş called his father. His father, Şaban Çataldaş, was shocked by what his son said, who could not hold back his tears, and rushed to the hospital.
HIS FATHER INTERVENED JUST IN TIME Speaking with the doctors who were preparing his son for gallbladder surgery, father Çataldaş suspected that a mistake had been made. Upon rechecking, the doctors realized that the documents had been mixed up, and that was why they were preparing Murat Çataldaş for surgery. After the document confusion, Murat Çataldaş, who was saved from the surgery of his healthy gallbladder thanks to his father's efforts at the last moment, experienced great joy.
YOUNG DOCTORS MADE AMENDS After the incident that could be the subject of a movie, Murat Çataldaş stated that he still goes for check-ups. He mentioned that his relationship with the doctor who made the mistake is very good after this incident, and they occasionally joke about the situation.

My father arrived just in time, and we were almost going into the operating room. The rooms were mixed up, that's why. The department I was supposed to be in was different, but since there was no room, they placed me in another department downstairs. So, the files got mixed up with the room upstairs, and the doctor explained it later. We made amends with the doctor, and we solved the problem. I still go for regular check-ups, and my relationship with the doctor is good. He laughed and said, 'Your situation turned into a Kemal Sunal movie,' and we joked. I'm fine now, I go for my check-ups, I just have one kidney stone, that's all," he said.

A week later, they admitted the child again, saying he would have surgery again, and they prepared him to take him to the operating room. I had gone outside to get some air, and when I went back upstairs, I saw that the child was gone. They were actually taking the child to the other operating room to remove his gallbladder. I ran after them and shouted, and the child said, 'Dad, they are going to take my gallbladder,' I asked, 'Why?' and he said, 'I don't know either.' Then I ran to the doctor and informed him, asking why this was happening. Of course, the doctor was surprised and realized there was a mix-up in the files, and he immediately intervened," he stated.
