It has been reported that the workers, who came from the Bahawalpur region of Pakistan's Punjab province, were shot and killed.

Iranian security forces cordoned off the scene and launched an investigation. Authorities stated that the Pakistani workers were employed at a workshop that performed auto painting, polishing, and repair work, and that they resided there. They reported that the attackers raided the workshop at night, opened fire, and killed all the workers on the spot.

The Pakistani Embassy in Tehran confirmed that efforts are ongoing to verify the identities of the workers and to coordinate with local authorities. An embassy official stated, "We are in close contact with Iranian authorities. All necessary steps will be taken to support the families of the victims and to ensure justice is served."
