HYGIENE VIOLATION
Teams from the Tarsus Municipality Police Department inspected a flour factory in the district as part of inspections aimed at protecting public health.
During the inspection, situations violating hygiene rules were detected at the factory, and the stored flour was also taken under examination by the teams.
30 TONS OF SPOILED FLOUR
During the checks, it was determined that approximately 30 tons of flour were infested with insects and moldy. The products, found to be unsuitable for use from a health perspective, were confiscated by the teams.
While preventing the spoiled flour from being released to the market, all of the products were destroyed.
ADMINISTRATIVE FINE ISSUED, FLOUR DESTROYED
Action was also taken against the factory due to the hygiene violations detected during the inspection. An administrative fine was imposed on the facility, and by destroying the unhealthy products, a potential public health risk was prevented.
Tarsus Municipality stated that inspections of businesses threatening public health will continue.
