A heart-stopping moment occurred at the tram stop in Kayseri. A passenger trying to cross the street did not notice the approaching tram. The security officer, who noticed the situation at the last moment, reflexively pulled the passenger back, preventing a possible disaster.
SECURITY OFFICER SAVED
The incident took place around 08:30 at the Cumhuriyet Square tram stop. The security officer saved a female passenger who was trying to cross the street without noticing the tram, as she was wearing headphones. The moments were captured on security cameras. In the footage, the pedestrian can be heard apologizing to the security officer who saved her.
HEADPHONES PREVENTED HER FROM HEARING SURROUNDING SOUNDS
In a statement shared on social media by Ulaşım A.Ş., part of the Metropolitan Municipality, it was noted, "This morning, a passenger who was wearing headphones and could not notice her surroundings was saved at the last moment from a possible accident thanks to the attention of our security personnel while trying to cross the street. This incident is an important reminder for all of us. We thank our security officer for his careful behavior. However, the main issue we need to pay attention to is that all our passengers should be more careful on the rail system lines. Please use pedestrian crossings. Check both directions when crossing. Remember that you may not hear surrounding sounds while wearing headphones."
