Police officials, in a statement to The New York Post, reported that the investigation is being conducted into the possibility that the death was "an accidental overdose."

People and TMZ, which obtained the young actress's death certificate, revealed that Nyweide was pregnant at the time of her death. According to TMZ's report, it is estimated that she was in the early stages of her pregnancy.
