UEFA has made a rule change in the competition regulations ahead of the new season for European cups. This change will directly affect Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Samsunspor, which represent our country in Europe.

RULE CHANGE

After its meeting, the UEFA Executive Committee announced that significant decisions were made and a rule change was implemented.

In a statement made on UEFA's website, it was announced that clubs participating in the European arena are granted the right to make temporary squad changes due to injury or illness.

The statement included that the UEFA Executive Committee approved a change in the 2025/26 men's club competition regulations, allowing for the temporary replacement of a maximum of 1 player due to long-term injury or illness until the 6th match day of the league phase.

The reason for the rule change was stated to prevent unfair narrowing of squads and to protect players from the pressure of extra workload.
