The teams of the Istanbul Police Department captured a woman who was convicted of a murder committed in 2004 in Kartal.
As a result of the efforts of the Fugitive Persons Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate, Zeynep K, who was sentenced to 14 years and 4 months in prison for "intentional homicide" due to a murder committed in Istanbul in 2004, was apprehended. It was learned that Zeynep K, who was captured in Kartal, had also been wanted by Interpol since 2011.
WANTED FOR 15 YEARS
Zeynep K, who had a restriction record from the Ministry of Justice dated May 10, 2016, and 99-EGM H-INTERPOL, had been on the run for approximately 15 years. As a result of the investigations, the address where Zeynep K was hiding in Kartal was identified. Zeynep K was captured and taken into custody during an operation conducted at the address. The captured Zeynep K was brought to the Fugitive Persons Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate for necessary judicial procedures to be carried out. After the procedures conducted here, she was taken to the judicial authorities.
