A shocking murder incident occurred in the United States. A mother, who fell asleep while trying to warm her baby with a hairdryer, accidentally burned her baby to death. The mother was arrested for second-degree murder and sent to prison.
An incredible murder incident occurred in Coweta, Georgia, USA. 32-year-old Morgan Alyson Creel noticed that her baby was unresponsive when she woke up from her sleep in November 2023. Creel, who sought help from authorities, stated that she had fallen asleep while trying to warm her baby with a hairdryer.
BURNED BABY DIED
Health teams, who started performing CPR on the baby, determined that there were serious burns on the child's right side. The teams announced that the baby had passed away.
DRUG ALLEGATION
The police found drug paraphernalia during their initial investigations at the scene. The incident report indicated that Creel possessed a marijuana smoking device on the back porch. It is believed that Creel was under the influence of substances at the time of her baby's death.
RELEASED ON BAIL
Following the baby's death, the mother was arrested on charges of second-degree child cruelty. However, she was released on bail after a while. A year later, she was taken into custody again in January of the same year for endangering traffic safety while driving under the influence.
SECOND-DEGREE MURDER CHARGE
According to the indictment obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta, the grand jury brought another legal charge of second-degree murder against Creel in the previous weeks. The indictment stated that Creel "...caused extreme physical and mental pain in a cruel manner by leaving a hairdryer on and blowing heated air near the child while under the influence of a controlled substance."
Creel was arrested on January 24 and sent to Coweta County Jail. However, as of Thursday, it was reported that Creel was not on the inmate list.
