She wants a fortune from the curtain inherited from her grandmother.

The craze for grandmother curtains being sold at astronomical prices continues. In Sivas, a young man has put two pieces of 70-year-old curtains inherited from his grandmother up for sale for 900,000 lira.

Nostalgic curtains, considered antiques, have started a new trend on shopping sites. Although there are no buyers for the curtains sold at exorbitant prices, these curtains, forgotten in chests, have come to light. Similar curtains that were used in almost every home in the past are being offered for sale at prices reaching up to 1 million TL, even though they have no economic value.

Salih Erdoğan, who lives in Sivas, took out two curtains that were passed down from his grandmother to his mother and are referred to as antiques, and decided to sell them for 900 thousand lira after being influenced by internet advertisements he saw. Erdoğan, who is considering selling both curtains at his desired price, said, "I even saw an advertisement for 2 million 600 thousand lira."

"THESE PRICES ARE NORMAL"

Salih Erdoğan expressed that the prices set for the curtains are normal, stating, "It's a curtain that attracts a lot of interest. In fact, one person offered 400 thousand lira. However, I am not thinking of selling it for now. I hope to sell these curtains to antique collectors at my desired price. These curtains are quite old. They are at least 2-3 generations old, even 60-70 years. Moreover, these prices are generally normal. I even saw an advertisement for 2 million 600 thousand lira. Also, this curtain has never had a cornice attached. There are no sunburns or holes. It has been well taken care of. It has been waiting in the chest for many years. It was passed down from my grandmother's dowry to my mother. When I saw it in the news, I wanted to put it up for sale and try my luck. I also listed two pieces of curtains for 900 thousand lira."
