A new development has occurred in the inheritance dispute that began after the death of Yeşilçam’s master name Kadir İnanır. Bişar Abdi Alınak, the lawyer of his life partner Jülide Kural, announced that the artist’s nephew Levent İnanır applied to court to be appointed guardian and to have a protective measure placed on his assets while his uncle was fighting for his life in intensive care.
The inheritance disputes that began after the death of Kadir İnanır, one of the unforgettable names of Turkish cinema, on June 26 continue. The emergence of the will in which the master actor left his assets to Jülide Kural, with whom he shared his life for many years, had caused a disagreement between his nephew Levent İnanır and Kural. This time, the statements of Jülide Kural's lawyer, Bişar Abdi Alınak, marked the debates.
HE APPLIED TO COURT WHILE HIS UNCLE WAS IN INTENSIVE CARE In a statement to T24, Jülide Kural's lawyer Bişar Abdi Alınak said that Levent İnanır applied to court while his uncle Kadir İnanır was intubated and fighting for his life.
Alınak stated that on June 9, 2026, Levent İnanır applied to the Beykoz Civil Court of Peace, requesting that Kadir İnanır be placed under legal restriction and that he himself be appointed as guardian. He stated that the application also requested precautionary measures on the artist's bank accounts, real estate, and vehicles.
“WHILE ALL OF TURKEY WAS WONDERING ABOUT KADİR İNANIR...” Reacting to what happened, Alınak recounted that they were faced with a legal struggle on the days when the artist's health condition was critical.
KADİR İNANIR - JÜLİDE KURAL Alınak said, “Levent İnanır went after his inheritance while Kadir İnanır was still alive,” and used the expressions, “While all of Turkey, his loved ones, and his fans were wondering how Mr. Kadir was doing, we suddenly found ourselves defending Ms. Jülide in a guardianship case at the Civil Court of Peace.”
TWO DAYS BEFORE HIS DEATH, THE COURT ISSUED ITS DECISION According to lawyer Alınak's statement, on June 11, the court judge and expert witnesses went to the house where Kadir İnanır and Jülide Kural lived together and conducted an inventory of belongings.
At the hearing held on June 24, the court decided that Jülide Kural be appointed as guardian. Kadir İnanır died on June 26, only two days after this decision was made.
“PREPARATION FOR THE ANNULMENT OF THE WILL” Reminding that Levent İnanır had previously claimed that his uncle had suffered from a lack of testamentary capacity at the time he prepared the will, Alınak argued that these allegations were a preparation for the annulment of the will.
LEVENT İNANIR - KADİR İNANIR The lawyer noted that in both the wills Kadir İnanır prepared in 2015 and 2022, he wanted to leave his assets to Jülide Kural, and said that the artist's decision had not changed over the years.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST LEVENT İNANIR Alınak also alleged that Jülide Kural was targeted and threatened during the inheritance disputes. Arguing that Kural's personal rights were violated, the lawyer announced that they would file a criminal complaint against Levent İnanır for attack on personal rights, disinformation, defamation, and violation of privacy.
Levent İnanır's response to the lawyer's latest allegations has not yet been made public.
