Teams conducting a raid on a house in the Mediterranean district of Mersin due to a foul odor surrounding the area were astonished when they removed 10 truckloads of garbage from inside. Following complaints, the municipal police took action and conducted an inspection at the address in the Müfide İlhan neighborhood.
10 trucks of garbage were removed from a house emitting a bad odor in the Akdeniz district of Mersin.
RESIDENTS COMPLAINED
According to a statement from the Akdeniz Municipality, the teams from the Zoning Directorate conducted an inspection at the house in Müfide İlhan Neighborhood following complaints from citizens about the bad smell, pest formation, and visual pollution.
The teams determined that there were numerous worn-out clothes, furniture, plastic materials, and household waste at the entrance, garden, and rooms of the residence.
TRUCKS CAME AND WENT
In the cleaning operation carried out with the support of construction machinery, 10 trucks of waste were removed from the house.
During the day-long operation, tons of garbage were evacuated from the house. With the removal of the waste, the bad smell and visual pollution were largely eliminated, and it was stated that the pest problem experienced in the neighborhood had also decreased.
