According to the information obtained, citizens who saw a person motionless on the sea at the Urla coast in the evening hours reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, police, coast guard, and health teams were dispatched to the area.
FOUND WITH HANDS AND FEET TIED
The person pulled out of the water was identified as Burak Ulamışlı, a father of two and a candidate for mayor from the CHP in the Urla local elections on March 31. In the initial examination, it was determined that Ulamışlı's hands and feet were tied to a boat.
TRANSPORTED TO THE FORENSIC MEDICINE MORGUE
The body of Ulamışlı, who was determined to have lost his life, was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for the determination of the exact cause of death after the prosecutor's examination.
Law enforcement agencies are evaluating the possibility of murder due to the way the body was found, while a multi-faceted investigation into the incident is ongoing.
