According to the statement from the Mediterranean Municipality, the incident occurred at the security checkpoint in the Yakaköy area. Police teams stopped a truck on suspicion.
DETERMINED TO BE TRANSPORTED UNDER UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS
During the search of the vehicle, it was determined that the meat in the cargo was being transported under unhealthy conditions. Upon reporting the situation, teams from the Mediterranean Municipality's Zoning Department and the Mediterranean Agriculture and Forestry Directorate were dispatched to the area.

In the teams' examination, it was determined that the 500 kilograms of meat found in the truck was spoiled and not suitable for consumption. While the meat was confiscated, the destruction process was carried out in accordance with the regulations.
