The 13th Digital Media Workshop organized by the Turkey Internet Journalism Association (TIGAD) has started in Iğdır. Nearly 150 media executives, journalists, and academics came together at the event attended by Justice Minister Akın Gürlek, Chairman of the Board of Haberler.com Ekrem Teymur, and Editor-in-Chief Lawyer Bedia Teymur. The future of digital media and the transformation in internet journalism are being discussed at the workshop.

The Internet Journalism Association of Turkey (TIGAD) is holding its 13th Digital Media Workshop in Iğdır. TIGAD President Okan Geçgel stated that the future of digital media and the transformation of internet journalism are being discussed at the workshops.

TIGAD is holding the 13th Digital Media Workshop, which it has made traditional, in Iğdır. In the organization, approximately 150 journalists, media executives, academics, and sector representatives from all over Turkey will comprehensively address the future of digital media and the transformation of internet journalism.

MINISTER OF JUSTICE GURLEK ALSO ATTENDED

The official opening of the workshop was held at the Iğdır Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Conference Hall.

In the opening program of the workshop, which was also attended by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, who gave a speech, TIGAD President Okan Geçgel, Iğdır Governor Mustafa Fırat Taşolar, and protocol members delivered speeches.

IMPORTANT TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED IN PANELS

In the panels to be held within the scope of the workshop; the effects of artificial intelligence on journalism, new-generation copyrights, verification journalism, the fight against disinformation, social media, television journalism, agency journalism, and the future of local media will be evaluated by experts in their fields.
