Following the martyrdom of 3 police officers by ISIS terrorists during an operation in Yalova, simultaneous operations are being conducted across Turkey. Most recently, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced this morning that 357 suspects have been detained in coordinated operations against the terrorist organization ISIS in 21 provinces.
In Yalova, terrorists affiliated with the Horasan branch of ISIS ambushed police officers on an operation, martyring 3 police officers. In the 8-hour-long clash, 6 terrorists were killed.
OPERATIONS IN ISTANBUL AND ANKARA Following the treacherous attack, operations came one after another. In an operation against ISIS in Istanbul, 110 suspects were detained, including 41 suspects connected to ISIS members in Yalova.
In the investigation against the ISIS terrorist organization conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 17 suspects, for whom detention orders were issued, were also captured.
Suspects detained in the operation in Istanbul 357 ISIS SUSPECTS DETAINED IN SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS IN 21 PROVINCES Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 357 suspects of the ISIS terrorist organization were captured in simultaneous operations conducted by police teams in 21 provinces this morning.
According to the information shared by Minister Yerlikaya on his social media account, the operations were carried out by provincial police departments in coordination with Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the General Directorate of Security's Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Department and Intelligence Department.
It was reported that the operations took place in Adana, Ağrı, Ankara, Antalya, Bingöl, Çorum, Denizli, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Giresun, Istanbul, Kastamonu, Kilis, Konya, Muğla, Niğde, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Yalova, and Van.
In his statement, Yerlikaya said, "Just as we have never given opportunities to those who try to subdue this homeland with terrorism until today, we will never give them opportunities in the future."
It was emphasized that the security forces' operations against terrorism across the country continue with determination.
