Following the issuance of an arrest warrant against her as part of the "Urban Reconciliation" investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), Şişli Deputy Mayor Ebru Özdemir went to the Çağlayan Courthouse and surrendered. She was arrested on charges of "aiding a terrorist organization."

EBRU ÖZDEMİR ARRESTED
After a warrant was issued for her arrest as part of the investigation, Özdemir went to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to surrender and was subsequently detained. Her procedures at the prosecutor's office have been completed. After her procedures at the police, she was arrested by the magistrate court she was referred to and sent to prison.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
As part of the terrorism investigation conducted against IMM by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ekrem İmamoğlu was released, while Mahir Polat, Resul Emrah Şahan, and Reform Institute Director Mehmet Ali Çalışkan were arrested.
As part of the investigation, the Istanbul Magistrate Court had issued arrest warrants for Ebru Özdemir, Azad Barış, and Hunav Altun.
