The Israeli army's attacks on the Gaza Strip continued unabated on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. The people of Gaza, who woke up to hopes and wishes for peace on the morning of the holiday, were shaken by the horror of a new bombardment early in the day. Israeli forces targeted tent camps housing Palestinians who had to leave their homes due to the war in the city of Khan Younis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
THERE ARE CHILDREN AMONG THEM
In the intense bombardment, many civilians, including children, lost their lives, and many others were injured. After the attack, health teams and volunteers in the region mobilized to rescue the survivors. The injured were transferred to Nasir Hospital in Khan Younis, one of the largest health centers in the area. However, the hospital faced a load beyond its capacity.
THEY ARE DESPERATELY WAITING IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL
As the bodies of the deceased civilians were taken to the hospital's morgue, their relatives were plunged into deep mourning over the loss of their loved ones. Palestinian families waiting in front of the hospital in despair mourned their losses in tears. While the first day of Eid al-Fitr is again remembered with pain, fear, and destruction in Gaza, it has become evident that the humanitarian crisis in the region has deepened due to the attacks.
