Some metro stations in Istanbul will be closed after 3:00 PM today.

The Istanbul Governorship made a statement regarding the calls for gatherings on the occasion of "November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women." The Governorship announced that no application had been made for the mentioned march and events, and that activities in these areas would not be permitted. It also stated that after 3:00 PM, the Halic, Şişhane, Osmanbey, and Mecidiyeköy stations of the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line would be closed in Istanbul.

The Istanbul Governorship made a written statement regarding the call for gathering on İstiklal Street and its surroundings through social media platforms within the scope of "November 25 International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women".

The governorship announced that no application had been made regarding the mentioned march and events, and that events would not be permitted in these areas.

The statement indicated that events to be held within the boundaries of the Beyoğlu district are prohibited from 00:01 on November 25, 2024, until 23:59 on November 26, 2024.

On the other hand, in a statement made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality; "In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governorship, as of 15:00 today, until further notice;

The M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line will be closed for operation at the Haliç, Şişhane, Taksim, Osmanbey, and Şişli/Mecidiyeköy stations.

On the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line, services will be operated between Eminönü and Bağcılar stations," the statement included.
