A date has been set for the first deliveries in the 15 thousand rental housing project launched against high rental prices in Istanbul. Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum announced that some of the housing units have been completed and the first deliveries will be made in September. Who will benefit from the project and under what conditions will be clarified with the announcement to be made by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

An important new phase is underway in the striking housing initiative for tenants in Istanbul. Minister Murat Kurum announced that the first homes in the 15,000 rental housing project have been completed and deliveries will begin in September.

FIRST DELIVERIES OF 15,000 RENTAL HOUSES IN SEPTEMBER

COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum explained the details of the rental housing project at the "Press Meeting Program" held within the scope of the Istanbul Climate Finance Summit. Kurum announced that a portion of the 15,000 rental houses will be delivered to their rightful owners within September. Minister Kurum said, "We aim to complete the delivery of a portion of the 15,000 rental housing project in Istanbul within September as well. We have built and finished our houses, and we will deliver and send our first houses to our citizens of Istanbul."

THE GOAL IS TO LOWER RENTAL PRICES

Stating that one of the main goals of the project is the increasing rental prices in Istanbul, Kurum said they aim to support citizens with low income. Kurum stated, "We consider this project important in terms of lowering rental prices and rents in Istanbul and supporting our low-income citizens."

ERDOĞAN WILL ANNOUNCE APPLICATION CONDITIONS

The most curious topic for those who want to benefit from the 15,000 rental houses is the application and eligibility conditions. Kurum announced that the final conditions regarding the rental houses will be presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the cabinet meeting this week. Afterwards, Erdoğan will announce to the public who can benefit from the project and what conditions will be required. Kurum said, "Our President will also announce to our nation next week under what conditions this will be possible."

THE HOUSES ARE COMPLETED

One of the most notable details of the project is that a portion of the houses has reached the delivery stage. Kurum, saying "We have built and finished our houses," stated that the first keys will be handed over to the people of Istanbul in September. Thus, the 15,000 rental housing project will transition from the planning stage to the actual delivery process.
