Istanbul Bilgi University, which was reopened by a presidential decree 3 days after being closed, announced that educational activities continue uninterrupted following the trustee appointment and that there is no change in the academic calendar. Final exams will be held on June 8-20, 2026.
Istanbul Bilgi University announced that it continues its educational activities uninterruptedly with its current academic and institutional structure, and that there is no change in the academic calendar.
STATEMENT FROM BILGI UNIVERSITY
In a written statement from the university, the following expressions were used: "In line with the decision taken with the appreciation of our President, the protection of our students' educational rights, which is our main priority as a university, the security of the rights and working order of our academic and administrative staff, the expectations of our families, and the high public interest have been considered, and it has been decided that our university will continue its activities with its current structure."
"THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR"
In the statement, it was noted that the trustee board of trustees has resumed its duties accordingly, and the following was recorded:
"Our university's academic and administrative management processes continue to operate as planned. Our Rectorate and all relevant units are working tirelessly to ensure no disruption in our students' educational processes. One of the topics our students are most curious about is that there is no change in the academic calendar. The final exams for the 2025-2026 Academic Year Spring Semester will be held between June 8-20, 2026, as previously announced."
In the statement, which also conveyed that scientific research, academic studies, student club activities, as well as social and cultural events continue as planned, the following expressions were included:
"Today, a comprehensive evaluation meeting was held with the participation of our Board of Trustees and our university's senior academic and administrative managers, addressing process management, coordination, and the roadmap for the upcoming period. Our university, which completes its 30th year this year on its educational journey with the motto 'Learning is not for school, but for life,' will continue to carry out its education, research, and scientific production activities more strongly with its institutional experience. We wish our students, academic and administrative staff, and families to focus on the future with peace of mind, and we thank them for the trust, common sense, and institutional loyalty they have shown during this process."
