In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reported that there were claims in some media outlets and social media platforms that "an investigation has been initiated by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding Ekol TV and that the investigation documents were sent to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with a decision of lack of jurisdiction," but this does not reflect the truth.
The statement indicated that there is no ongoing investigation conducted by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the matter, and shared the information that "an investigation was initiated by us in October 2025 based on reports received by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the company owned by the mentioned media outlet, summarizing that assets derived from crime are being laundered, and the examinations are continuing meticulously."
