The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack carried out by the Houthis on a Panama-flagged cargo ship belonging to a Turkish company off the coast of Yemen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the missile attack carried out by the Houthis on the cargo ship named 'Anadolu S', registered under the Panama flag and owned by a Turkish company, off the coast of Yemen.

In a statement regarding the attack, the Ministry included the following remarks:

"We condemn the missile attacks carried out by the Houthis on the cargo ship named Anadolu S, registered under the Panama flag and owned by a Turkish company, while it was sailing off the coast of Yemen. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure that a similar incident does not occur again."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The cargo ship named Anadolu S, owned by Oras Shipping based in Istanbul, was targeted in the Red Sea while en route from Egypt to Pakistan. It was revealed that the ship had avoided being hit after being warned minutes earlier by a British vessel. Captain Salih Zeki Çakır, Chairman of the Board of Oras Shipping, stated regarding the attack, "There is no problem for now. The captain is trying to move away from the dangerous area."
