As part of August 30 Victory Day, SOLOTURK pilots met with aviation enthusiasts at a talk and signing day in Istanbul. The pilots stated that they were pleased with the interest of young people and that they would perform the show at Yenikapi. Thanking citizens for their interest in the event, Lieutenant Colonel Murat Bakici said, "We will crown our August 30 Victory Day enthusiasm with our show at Yenikapi Square at 6:00 PM. We invite everyone to share this enthusiasm with us."
The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) aerobatic team SOLOTÜRK came together with citizens in a talk and autograph session event as part of the August 30 Victory Day and Turkish Armed Forces Day celebrations.
In the program held at the Istanbul Air Forces Museum in Bakırköy, SOLOTÜRK pilots met with citizens and children interested in aviation.
BIG SHOW AT 18:00
Speaking to journalists, SOLOTÜRK pilot Lieutenant Colonel Murat Bakıcı said they were happy to share the enthusiasm of August 30 Victory Day with citizens.
Thanking citizens for their interest in the event, Bakıcı said, "We will crown our August 30 Victory Day enthusiasm with our show at Yenikapı Square at 18:00. We invite everyone to share this enthusiasm."
"YOUNG PEOPLE ARE THE GUARANTEE OF OUR FUTURE"
Bakıcı, stating that the interest of young people in aviation makes them happy, said, "First of all, as in every Turkish family, every Turkish soldier is born. Already, when you look at all our young people here, they are the guarantees of our future. They also want to take our place in the sky in the future. Since we are role models in this regard, we are all very happy and proud on behalf of our team."
"INŞALLAH, MY DAUGHTER WILL BE THE FIRST FEMALE SOLOTÜRK PILOT"
Hüseyin Kaya, who attended the event with his little daughter, told that his daughter has great interest in SOLOTÜRK.
Stating that his daughter woke up early in the morning to meet the pilots, Kaya said, "My daughter loves SOLOTÜRK very much. She got up at 07:00 today to see her brother Murat and brother Erhan. In the future, she wants to be a pilot, even a SOLOTÜRK pilot. Inşallah, my daughter will be the first female SOLOTÜRK pilot. That is our wish."
DREAM IS TO BECOME SOLOTÜRK
Ege Tandan Kömür, who attended the event with his brother Deniz, also told that he wants to be a pilot, had previously met SOLOTÜRK pilot Lieutenant Colonel Bakıcı and came to the program to see him again.
Kömür said, "My brother Deniz's dream is to become a SOLOTÜRK pilot. I will give the painting I made to the pilots. Then we will have it signed and go home."
At the end of the program, the SOLOTÜRK team signed the paintings, t-shirts, and F-16 posters drawn by citizens.
