The details of the 12th Judicial Package, which the AK Party continues to prepare and is expected to be submitted to Parliament in the coming days, are becoming clearer. One of the most striking regulations in the package is the step aimed at speeding up trials.
HEARINGS TO BE SCHEDULED AT MOST 3 MONTHS APART
According to the news by Haberler.com Ankara Representative Şerife Güzel, the regulation in the draft aims to prevent long waiting periods between hearings in courts. Except for mandatory and exceptional cases such as requesting information and documents from abroad, hearings are planned to be held at intervals of at most 3 months.
If the regulation becomes law, it is intended to expedite cases and reduce the time loss citizens experience in judicial processes.
PENALTIES GIVEN TO CIVIL SERVANTS WILL NOT BE SUSPENDED
The 12th Judicial Package also includes other important topics of public interest. According to the draft, it is planned to limit the deferral of the announcement of the verdict for penalties up to 2 years given to public officials for crimes such as mistreatment.
NEW REGULATION FOR INHERITANCE CASES
In the sale of real estate through the dissolution of joint ownership, making the first auction open only to heirs is also among the notable articles of the package. If the sale does not occur in the first auction, the second auction will be open to everyone.
PROPERTIES OF PERSONS UNDER GUARDIANSHIP TO BE SOLD ONLINE
The package also envisions regulation of the sales processes of properties belonging to individuals under guardianship. Accordingly, sales will be made more transparent and conducted openly via the internet.
