CREW BAILED OUT WITH PARACHUTES
Russia's Ministry of Defense stated that the aircraft had no ammunition on board and that the accident occurred as it began its descent for landing. The ministry added that the crew bailed out with parachutes and are in good health. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
IT WAS STATIONED AT AN AIR BASE HIT BY UKRAINE
The Russian press reported that the aircraft was stationed at Belaya Air Base, noting that this base was one of five Russian air bases attacked during Ukraine's large-scale drone strike, codenamed "Operation Spider Web."
