The lifeless body of 47-year-old Hazar Can Ateş was found in Lake Sapanca in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, wearing a snorkel and diving goggles. An investigation has been launched into the incident.

FOUND MOTIONLESS ON THE WATER SURFACE

According to the information obtained, Hazar Can Ateş (47), who came to Sapanca Lake at the Dere Ağzı location in Yanık Neighborhood, was found motionless on the water surface approximately 75 meters offshore, with goggles and a snorkel on. Upon notification of the situation, health, police, AFAD, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. AFAD teams, who entered the lake by boat, took Ateş, who was motionless on the water surface, onto the boat and brought him to the shore.

DIED

It was determined that Ateş died during the check by health teams. After examinations at the scene, the lifeless body of the individual was taken to the Sapanca State Hospital morgue. Ateş's body was sent to the Sakarya Education and Research Hospital Korucuk Preliminary Autopsy Center to determine the exact cause of death.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
