During the procession accompanied by the ships' horns, spectators witnessed scenes symbolizing US independence and maritime history. River traffic was managed in a controlled manner throughout the event, with security measures raised to the highest level.
EXTENSIVE AIR SHOWS ALSO HELD Following the naval parade, the celebrations moved to the skies. The most striking part of the air shows, which began around 10:15 local time, was the famous US Navy aerobatic team, the "Blue Angels." During the displays over the Hudson River and New York Harbor, fighter jets performed low-altitude passes, while historic military aircraft and various demonstration teams also joined the celebrations. The consecutive maneuvers in the sky drew prolonged applause from spectators on the riverbanks. Authorities stated that more than 100 aircraft from the US and allied countries participated in the shows.

In this context, the Turkish frigate TCG Oruçreis was among the ships present in New York. During the event, the Oruçreis frigate, stationed in the area, enabled the Turkish flag to fly along the shores of the Hudson River.
