Singer Zeynep Bastık made statements about the lynching process she was subjected to in the early years of her career during a program she attended. Bastık stated that she has not been following what is written about her on social media for a long time, saying, "I haven't searched my name on X for 4 years."
Famous singer Zeynep Bastık stated that she experienced psychological difficulties during the process she went through on the "Popcast" program hosted by Kaan Ölker and therefore received regular therapy. Bastık emphasized that she has mentally recovered, saying, "The lynching lasted a long time and never ended. It was a period when I was psychologically challenged. Right now, I am in good spirits. Therapy had a great effect on this. I still receive therapy regularly."
Bastık, who said she no longer follows the posts made about her on social media, stated, "People will talk. I say, you know yourself and those who love you. If someone wants to believe what is written, they will. How can I control this? That’s why I left those places. I don’t look at what is written about me. I haven’t searched my name on X for 4 years."
Bastık also expressed that she thought false news was made about her at the beginning of her career and said that together with her team, they focused on overcoming this process by working harder.
Emphasizing that being famous is not as easy as it seems, Bastık noted that especially in the early stages of her career, she cared too much about what people thought about her.
