Communications Director Duran assessed Netanyahu's threats and lies against Turkey as a reflection of his international isolation, political fears, and delusions. Stating that Turkey's peaceful policy will thwart these games, Duran said, 'We are experienced enough not to fall for the games of figures like Netanyahu who seek to undermine peace and stability in our region.'
Presidency's Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran said, "The threats and lies Netanyahu voiced against Turkey and Syria in a recent interview are a new reflection of the Israeli Prime Minister's growing international isolation, political fears, and delusions."
Director of Communications Duran made statements in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks targeting Turkey.
"A REFLECTION OF HIS POLITICAL FEARS"
Duran, evaluating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks targeting Turkey, said the following:
"The threats and lies Netanyahu voiced against Turkey and Syria in a recent interview are a new reflection of the Israeli Prime Minister's growing international isolation, political fears, and delusions. Moreover, Netanyahu's efforts to mislead the international public by fabricating imaginary threats and enemies no longer have any impact. This is because the international community is unanimous about the evil of the policies he pursues.
The reaction of the US, the UK, and the international community to Israel's aggressive policies is increasingly growing. The Israeli Prime Minister has clung to this irrational attitude due to upcoming elections, domestic political concerns, and fears. He views hostility towards Turkey as a political lifeline. Moreover, in a competition of extremism with other radical parties, he is fueling hostility towards Turkey and regional countries.
Of course, at this point, Netanyahu aims to reach a certain goal with this rhetoric both in domestic and foreign policy. The aggressive policies he has implemented from Gaza to Syria and Lebanon, the settler terrorism he turns a blind eye to, and the statements of extremist figures, especially his cabinet ministers, have brought Israel's perception down to one of the lowest points in history. Netanyahu and his accomplices, by accusing countries in the region, primarily Turkey, with various allegations, are trying to spread the dirt and grime they carry onto their surroundings. His effort to blame Turkey after his attack in Syria is one of the most obvious indicators of this situation.
But there is one thing they forget. The problem is not that people do not understand Israel's policies sufficiently, but that more and more people are understanding and rejecting these policies. This causes both such accusations and high-budget communication campaigns to yield limited results."
"THE ENTIRE REGION IS COMING TOGETHER AGAINST THE DESTABILIZING ACTOR"
Speaking about whether Netanyahu directly targeting Turkey could result in expanding Israel's circle of aggression towards Turkey, Duran said, "The international community and regional countries are displaying a strong stance against Netanyahu's occupying mentality and his project of starting a regional war, and they support the establishment of peace and tranquility in the Middle East. The entire region is coming together against a strategically destabilizing actor. Indeed, especially over the last three years, the entire region has witnessed the destruction and war caused by an aggressive neighbor in the region."
Burhanettin Duran continued his remarks as follows:
"Furthermore, as it stands, the Netanyahu administration has abandoned all diplomatic and dialogue efforts. The main problem of the current government is that it equates security not with stability and diplomacy, but with constant aggression. Therefore, the fundamental dynamic in its attitude towards Turkey is not that Turkey poses a threat to Israel, but rather Turkey's sound policies, with its current power and influence, that oppose the harm Israel inflicts on regional security and stability."
"ISRAELI PUBLIC FINDS NETANYAHU'S RHETORIC 'STUPID'"
Director of Communications Duran, also evaluating the rising reactions from the Israeli public regarding Netanyahu's statements, said:
"Of course, as our President has also stated, we are a country striving to bring peace and reconciliation to the region. Our main concern is stopping the bloodshed and tears in the region, and the situation in Gaza and the Palestinian cause remain vital elements for us in their current state.
Furthermore, we must also state that the grave mistake Netanyahu has made is also on the agenda of the Israeli public. The Israeli opposition frequently states that they find Netanyahu's anti-Turkish rhetoric 'irresponsible, extreme, and stupid' and that it causes anxiety in society.
Even their own politicians admit that Israel is losing its many allies one by one and is becoming completely discredited. Moreover, no benefit has been demonstrated from the policy of tension attempted to be created with Turkey.
Turkey is a NATO country that has repeatedly reinforced its power and influence on regional and global platforms, consolidated its hard power, and continuously develops its distinguished capabilities.
At this point, the most rational attitude the Israeli government could develop is not to hurl threats at its surroundings, target the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, or plan new illegal settlements in the West Bank, but to strive for a two-state solution that will completely eliminate the Israeli-Palestinian dispute and to stop further destabilizing steps in the region."
"WE WILL NOT FALL FOR THE GAMES OF FIGURES LIKE NETANYAHU UNDERMINING PEACE IN OUR REGION"
Duran, explaining how Turkey will respond to Israel's aggressive mindset, continued his remarks as follows:
"As Turkey, we will continue to fight against the destabilizing activities of the genocidal Netanyahu and stand by all states pursuing peaceful policies in our region, primarily Syria.
Turkey is one of the most experienced and deeply rooted countries in the region. Our state tradition is profound. We are a prudent, level-headed, and mighty country.
History clearly and unequivocally demonstrates that there is nothing we cannot do for our own security, the survival of our state, and the well-being of our nation. This understanding of ours has not changed today.
However, we are also experienced enough not to fall for the games of figures like Netanyahu who seek to undermine peace and stability in our region.
We are a country appreciated worldwide for this approach that prioritizes peace in our region and the world and strives for peace.
Turkey's prudent and peaceful foreign policy will foil the bloody games of discredited individuals like Netanyahu, who would not hesitate to set the region ablaze to secure their own political futures.
No one can disturb the peace of our nation and our friends. Turkey will never allow this."
