UNIVERSITY STUDENTS START HUNGER STRIKE FOR GAZA

According to local news reports in the USA, 25 students from California State University have begun a hunger strike. The students demanded that the university administration sever ties with companies that support Israel's genocide and protect freedom of expression on campus. Similarly, 6 pro-Palestinian students from Yale University also started a hunger strike in solidarity with the students of California State University.

Students reacting to Israel's cessation of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since March 2 emphasized that they are in solidarity with those who have died of hunger in Gaza. After the end of the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, Israel halted the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip starting from March 2. Israel, targeting civilian infrastructure and hospitals, is causing a humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
