Donation boxes placed in Biga for little İsa Berat, who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, were collected by an unauthorized person. The theft incident in the governorate-approved campaign deeply saddened families of sick children. The family is seeking help from authorities to apprehend the suspect as soon as possible and protect similar campaigns.
İsa Berat Emre, living in Biga, contracted DMD disease at the age of 2. For his treatment, a fundraising campaign was launched across Çanakkale with governorate approval 20 months ago, and donation boxes were placed in many businesses. A suspect, posing as an authorized person, collected the boxes and fled. The incident was captured second by second on a business's security camera. The family immediately applied to the police and filed a complaint.

Speaking about the incident, father İrfan Emre said, "In the campaign we started 20 months ago, with the boxes we distributed in Çanakkale and other districts, we noticed missing boxes in our Biga district. We saw that the boxes were collected by unauthorized persons. We shared the necessary information with our police force. Our warning to SMA and DMD campaigns: please be careful. We have the relevant videos and shared them with our police force. We hope that the suspect will be apprehended as soon as possible by our police force and that no harm will come to other campaigns."
