Heavy rain and hail in Ardahan negatively affected daily life. The highway at the Kirman village location on the Ardahan Göle road was temporarily closed to traffic due to a sudden hailstorm. While drivers struggled to proceed on the road, some vehicles had to wait at safe spots.
MOUNTAINS TURNED WHITE
With the effect of the precipitation, mountain peaks and high-altitude areas quickly turned white. The winter landscapes appearing in the middle of summer surprised onlookers.
While highway teams initiated efforts to reopen the road to traffic, authorities called on drivers to be cautious and take precautions against adverse weather conditions.
