The General Directorate of Meteorology has shared the weather forecast expected across the country. While strong thunderstorms are expected in the Taurus region of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Eastern Black Sea, and many cities in Eastern Anatolia, a strong wind warning has been issued for Marmara, the Northern Aegean, and the southeast of Eastern Anatolia.
According to forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the country is expected to be partly and locally cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the South and Inner Aegean, the Mediterranean, the inner parts of the Western Black Sea (excluding Bolu), the Central and Eastern Black Sea (excluding Samsun and Corum), the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Eskisehir, Cankiri, Nigde, Kayseri, Sivas, Mus, Bingol and Bitlis, and the coastal parts of Kirklareli.
ATTENTION TO THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN AND EASTERN BLACK SEA
Precipitation is expected to be locally strong in the Toroslar region of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Eastern Black Sea (excluding Giresun), the surroundings of Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars and Ardahan, and the eastern parts of Nigde, Kayseri and Sivas.
The air temperature is expected to generally be around seasonal norms.
STRONG WIND WARNING IN MARMARA
The wind is expected to blow from the north generally, and from the south in the southeastern parts, light, occasionally moderate, and strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the southeast of Marmara and the North Aegean, and from the southwest in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia.
FLOOD, WATER DAMAGE, LIGHTNING...
Authorities stated that citizens should be careful against adverse conditions such as floods, water damage, lightning, disruptions in transportation, and decreased visibility during rainfall in regions where heavy rain is expected.
