Fenerbahçe has denied claims that the 20 percent share to be obtained from the next potential transfer of Arda Güler, who plays for Real Madrid, is limited to 1.5 million Euros. The yellow-navy club stated that there is no upper limit in the agreement made.
Fenerbahce Club has issued an official public statement regarding media claims about the share it would receive from a potential future transfer of its former player Arda Guler, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
"THE CLAIMS DO NOT REFLECT THE TRUTH"
In the statement made by the yellow-navy club, it was stated that the news put forward by journalist Ahmet Selim Kul, claiming that Fenerbahce's 20% share from Arda Guler's future sale is capped at a maximum of 1.5 million Euros, is unfounded.
Here is Fenerbahce's statement:
"We see that some publications made without sufficient public knowledge are causing a false perception.
The claims mentioned by Ahmet Selim Kul, that Fenerbahce's 20% share from Arda Guler's potential transfer is limited to a maximum of 1.5 million Euros, do not reflect the truth.
Within the scope of the agreement made by the relevant board of directors in the past period, there is a 20% sell-on clause in the event of a potential transfer, and there is no upper limit.
We also remind once again that Fenerbahce Football A.S., a publicly traded company, should be discussed based on documents and facts, not speculation, regarding its economic rights and financial interests.
It is not possible for us to accept the dissemination of false, unverified information to the public that could mislead capital markets and our investors.
In case of repetition of such disinformation, we hereby inform the public that we will file criminal complaints against the relevant individuals and organizations to protect the rights of our club and our company."
