AK Party Deputy Chairman Hasan Basri Yalçın made striking statements regarding new joinings in his party. Noting that they expect another joining from a metropolitan city soon, Yalçın said, "I will not name names, but a metropolitan city is next. We will see it as soon as possible, God willing."
AK Party Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Yalçın made statements that will mark the political agenda in the live broadcast program he attended. Stating that new joinings to his party would continue, Yalçın expressed that a metropolitan municipality-level joining would take place soon.
Recalling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's stance on this issue, Yalçın gave the signal of a new transfer, saying, "Our President said our door is open, we are waiting. I won't give a name, but there is a metropolitan municipality next in line. God willing, we will see it as soon as possible."
"THE FUND INVESTIGATION WILL BE PURSUED TO THE END"
Making assessments regarding the fund investigation on the agenda, Yalçın sharply rejected the criticism that the process was being slowed down by the AK Party. Emphasizing that the investigation was carried out with meticulous work lasting months, Yalçın used the following statements:
"We are striving to shed light on this process without regard to who the culprit is. Our President's determination is clear; no one will be shown any leniency. Whether a bureaucrat or a politician, whoever is involved in this will be held accountable. These deep investigations had already been launched when the opposition did not even yet have news of them."
REACTION TO THE OPPOSITION: THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE POLITICAL GAINS
Arguing that the opposition wants to turn the issue into political opportunism, Yalçın continued his criticism:
"You traveled from city to city and defended the allegations involving your mayors. You cannot play with people's dignity so easily. If you try to spread the matter to all AK Party organizations without distinguishing the guilty from the innocent, we will not allow it."

Also touching on foreign policy debates, Hasan Basri Yalçın stated that the claims in the public did not reflect the truth. Emphasizing that Turkey is not sending soldiers to Yemen, Yalçın added that the Mecca Agreement aims for peace and stability in the region, and that this alliance could expand with the participation of new countries, especially Egypt.
