"HE ALSO NEEDS TO HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS"
When asked during a live broadcast what he thought about Selahattin Demirtaş, Özdağ emphasized the importance of fair trial. I have politically fought against Demirtaş's mentality and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. But because he is a citizen of my state, the Republic of Turkey, I believe he should have the same rights as I do."
"THE REASONED DECISION HAS NOT BEEN WRITTEN FOR A YEAR"
Özdağ also harshly criticized the fact that the reasoned decision regarding the prison sentence given to Selahattin Demirtaş has not been written for over a year. Regarding this issue, he stated, "This is not only a violation of his rights but also a matter related to the dignity of the Republic of Turkey as a state."
