A new claim has been made regarding the accident that Survivor Greece contestant Stavros Floros suffered in the Dominican Republic, which resulted in the loss of a part of his left leg. It has been claimed that Floros filed a lawsuit seeking approximately $100 million in compensation against the production side, including Acun Ilıcalı, alleging that the necessary safety measures were not taken.
Stavros Floros, who participated in the Survivor competition in Greece, has initiated legal proceedings following a boat accident in the Dominican Republic in which he was seriously injured. It has been claimed that Floros, who lost part of his left leg in the accident, filed a lawsuit for approximately $100 million, worth about 4.8 billion lira, against the companies involved in the production process of Survivor Greece and the production side. It has been alleged that Acun Medya, Acun Medya Global, Acun LLC, Acun Ilıcalı, and Skai TV are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.
LOST PART OF HIS LEG IN THE ACCIDENT
The incident occurred on May 11 off the coast of Saona Island in the Dominican Republic. According to the claims, Floros was seriously injured when the propeller of a tourist boat in the area struck him while he was spearfishing during a break in filming.
It was reported that Floros, who was seriously injured in the accident, had part of his left leg amputated and also sustained severe damage to his right ankle.
RECEIVED TREATMENT IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 61 DAYS
It was stated that Floros, who was taken to a hospital in Miami after the accident, received treatment for 61 days and underwent numerous surgeries during this process.
It was expressed that after the accident, Floros received long-term hospital treatment and went through a physically and psychologically challenging process.
ACCUSED THE PRODUCTION SIDE OF NEGLIGENCE
According to a report in People magazine, Floros alleged in his lawsuit, which is claimed to have been filed, that the Survivor production team failed to take the necessary safety precautions.
Floros argued that the spearfishing activities were carried out in open waters heavily used by tourist boats. The contestant also claimed that there were no safety boats or lookouts in the area, that necessary safety zones were not established, and that there were no adequate warning signs.
Floros, who alleged that dangerous incidents had occurred in the same area before, including a fatal accident, argued that the incident could have been prevented.

In an interview with Us magazine, Floros described his experience, stating that the accident caused a major change in his life.
Floros said, "I want the world to know the truth: I participated in a reality show and was left with one leg at the age of 22; I felt like I was slowly dying."
While the claim that Floros has demanded $100 million in compensation against the companies involved in the production process of Survivor and the production side following the accident has come to the fore, it has been stated that Acun Medya, Acun Medya Global, Acun LLC, Acun Ilıcalı, and Skai TV are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.
