Y.A.S., a 15-year-old who targeted schools and martyrs' graves to 'support' suspect M.F.Ç., who made sexually abusive statements and threats of attack against veiled women and children during a live broadcast wearing a mask on his social media account, has been arrested. Meanwhile, it was learned that the masked suspect is under treatment in the Department of Mental and Nervous Diseases, and an investigation has been initiated against his mother and father on charges of 'violating family obligations.'
In recent years, a new one has been added to the increasingly violent rhetoric on social media. Efforts continue to combat these actions, which have become particularly widespread among children under the age of 18.
Most recently, a 15-year-old suspect named M.F.C. made sexual abuse statements and threats of attack against women wearing headscarves and children during a masked live broadcast on his social media account. After his identity was determined, the suspect was caught and taken into custody.
HE TARGETED MARTYRS' GRAVES TO "SHOW SUPPORT"
After suspect M.F.Ç. was taken into custody, another 15-year-old child made a new post that would cause outrage, allegedly "to show support."
The child suspect named Y.A.S. used statements in his scandalous post claiming he would "carry out school attacks, attack mosques, and defile the graves of martyrs."
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Upon these statements, the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against the suspect on charges of "threat to create fear and panic among the public," "obscenity," and "insulting the religious values adopted by a segment of the public."
HE IS A "CHILD" BUT WHAT WAS SEIZED IS HORRIFYING
Suspect Y.A.S. was taken into custody in an operation held yesterday. During a search of the suspect's residence, a large number of child pornography materials and videos of burning the Holy Quran were seized.
After his procedures at the police station were completed, suspect Y.A.S. was referred to the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse. After his statement to the prosecutor, the suspect was referred to the duty judge with a request for arrest.
The Criminal Court of Peace ruled for the arrest of Y.A.S. on charges of "threat to create fear and panic among the public" and "obscenity."
THE MASKED CHILD WAS HOSPITALIZED IN A MENTAL HOSPITAL
Meanwhile, it was learned that an investigation was launched by the Inegol Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the suspect M.F.C., who broadcast live while masked. Within the scope of the investigation, authorities went to his residence to take him into custody. It was determined that the suspect, who was not at his residence, was receiving inpatient treatment at the Psychiatry and Neurological Diseases department of Bursa Yuksek Ihtisas Hospital.
INVESTIGATION ALSO AGAINST THE PARENTS
It was learned that a separate investigation was launched against the parents of suspect M.F.C. on charges of "violating family obligations." After their statements were taken as suspects, the mother and father were released, and the investigation is ongoing.
