Following the incident of a Syrian national molesting a girl in Kayseri, tensions escalated in Gaziantep last night due to the incidents occurring in the areas controlled by the Turkish military through the Operation Euphrates Shield in Syria. Today, Syrians did not open their businesses in the city where the teams were on alert throughout the night.

After the protests against Syrians in Gaziantep, some Syrian business owners did not open their shops today.

CITIZENS TOOK TO THE STREETS AT NIGHT

Citizens took to the streets last night with Turkish flags in their hands and damaged some Syrian-owned businesses and vehicles by chanting slogans. The protests were prevented from growing with the intervention of the police.
