Two defendants who killed Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy are appearing before a judge for the first time today. While father Andrea Minguzzi and mother cellist Yasemin Akıncılar also attended the hearing, a brief tension occurred in the courthouse corridor between lawyers requesting to attend the hearing and security personnel. Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi, who was attacked with a knife at a flea market in Kadıköy while shopping, and the death of his son Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi (15), the son of cellist Yasemin Akıncılar, is being heard in court with a demand for up to 24 years in prison for the charge of 'intentional murder of a child'. The hearing, where the two defendants will appear before the judge for the first time, will take place at the Anadolu Courthouse's 2nd Children's Heavy Criminal Court in Kartal. KILLED BY STABBING AT THE FLEA MARKET

The incident occurred on Friday, January 24, around 08:25 at the historic Tuesday market in Kadıköy. Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi and cellist Yasemin Akıncılar's son Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi reportedly had an argument with a group of cyclists, according to eyewitnesses. As bystanders intervened, the group dispersed, while Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi went to the flea market to shop.

Minguzzi, who was shopping at the market, was stabbed five times by B.B., who is alleged to be part of the group he argued with. The other suspect, U.B., who was with him at the time, kicked the fallen Minguzzi. He passed away in the hospital after 15 days of treatment.

DEFENDANTS WILL APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGE FOR THE FIRST TIME

In the investigation related to the incident, it was learned that B.B. and U.B. are 15 years old, and they will appear before the judge for the first time in the case opened with a demand for 18 to 24 years in prison for the charge of 'intentional murder of a child'.
