In the Keşan district of Edirne, two Pakistani nationals lost their lives and one person was injured as a result of a pickup truck colliding with a truck. Medical teams who arrived at the scene transported the injured to the hospital.
In a traffic accident that occurred in the Keşan district of Edirne, 2 people in the van that crashed into the back of a truck's trailer lost their lives, and 1 person was injured. According to the information received, the driver of the closed van with license plate 59 AOG 678, whose identity has not yet been determined, crashed into the trailer with license plate 34 FIY 623, which was attached to the truck with license plate 20 ASZ 945, driven by Ö.K. (50), while heading in the same direction from Keşan towards Malkara in Tekirdağ. The injured individuals, identified as Masawood Ur Rehman (25) and Muhammad Taimoor (31), who were reported to be of Pakistani nationality, along with T.Y. (17), a Turkish citizen, were in the van. Upon notification from witnesses of the accident, police, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
TRUCK DRIVER DETAINED
The injured individuals trapped in the van, which was tied to the fire truck with a rope to prevent it from overturning, were extricated through efforts and taken to Keşan State Hospital by ambulances for treatment. Despite all interventions at the hospital, Masawood Ur Rehman and Muhammad Taimoor could not be saved and lost their lives. An investigation is ongoing regarding the accident, in which the truck driver has been detained.
