In Şanlıurfa, two people died and six were injured in a traffic accident where two cars collided head-on. The driver, helping her injured friends, shouted 'Kill me'.
TWO PEOPLE DIED
According to the information obtained, the accident occurred near the Yanaloba rural neighborhood between the Suruç and Birecik districts of Şanlıurfa. A car driven by Baran Y. (license plate 41 SC 329) collided head-on with a Volkswagen driven by Duygu A. (license plate 01 AVY 419). Numerous ambulances, fire trucks, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. Health teams determined that Hasan Ataş and Ayşe Ataş died in the crash. Iranian nationals Zohreh A., Duygu A., Bediha Y., Melisa Y., Canan A., and Baran Y. were injured.
SHOUTED 'KILL ME'
First aid to the injured was provided by passersby. The female driver, helping her injured friends, repeatedly shouted 'Kill me' to those around her due to shock. The injured were taken to Suruç State Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The road was closed to traffic for a long time due to the accident. Suruç District Governor Adem Balkanoğlu, who arrived at the scene, gathered information about the incident. Following the investigation, the bodies were sent to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
