The electric car giant Tesla has revised the prices of the Model Y series available in Turkey according to the updated Special Consumption Tax (SCT) rates. The new prices will be effective as of 6:30 PM on Monday, July 28. The inventory listings for July will continue until Thursday, July 31.
According to the statement made on Tesla's official website in Turkey, the new starting prices have been determined as follows:
Model Y SR RWD: 2,241,000 TL (25% SCT)
Model Y LR RWD: 3,225,240 TL (55% SCT)
Model Y LR AWD: 3,998,400 TL (75% SCT)
Tesla Turkey emphasized that the new prices are shaped according to the SCT brackets and announced that the vehicles will be re-offered for sale with the listings starting at 6:30 PM on Monday.
MODEL Y LR AWD PRICE NEARS 4 MILLION TL
The price of the Model Y SR version had risen to 2,120,685 TL with the SCT rate increasing to 25%. However, with Tesla's decision to update, this model saw a price increase of 120,000 TL, bringing the new price to 2,241,000 TL.
On the other hand, a positive outlook was initially expected for the Model Y LR version. The SCT rate for this model had been reduced from 40% to 25%, and it was anticipated that its price would drop to approximately 2.4 million TL. However, after the price increase and the update in the tax bracket, the price of the Model Y LR exceeded 3 million TL.
The new SCT regulation brings significant price increases, especially for long-range and all-wheel-drive versions. It is important for consumers considering purchasing electric vehicles to pay attention to inventory and campaign dates.
